Associate Pastor Jodi Lingan
Associate Pastor Jodi joined our staff in April, 2017. She received her M.Div. from Wesley Theological Seminary in 2015 and served as a seminary intern at John Calvin Presbyterian Church in Annandale. Jodi holds an MS in Procurement & Grant Management from American University and a BA in Business Administration from Grove City College in PA.
Pastor Jodi was ordained as a Minister in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) on June 4, 2017, at Falls Church Presbyterian Church, her home congregation. She was ordained there as an elder in 2001 and served as Clerk of Session and Chair of the Christian Education Committee, working closely with their youth through mission trips and service ministry. Jodi and her husband live in Fairfax and have a young adult daughter living and working in Raleigh, N.C.
Pastor Lewis Johnson
Pastor Lewis serves as a parish associate. He lived in Iran as a missionary and overseas associate in mission for almost twenty years. While there, he initiated a program to develop a new translation of the Bible into modern Persian. He has also been a practicing lawyer. He has served several churches as interim pastor and has served National Capital Presbytery as member and clerk of its Permanent Judicial Commission.
Pastor Lewis enjoys the fellowship of the men who meet monthly for breakfast and engage in Bible study or study of Christian theology. He enjoys growing with church members in living the life in Christ and singing the hymns of our faith. He is married to Parvaneh Assad who became a Christian and married Lewis in Iran after the death of Lewis' first wife Dr. Margaret Bailey Johnson. Lewis has two grown children, six grandchildren and one stepson.
John Kim, Music Director
John received his BA in piano, voice and conducting from George Mason University in 2016. John lives in Gainesville and prior to coming to CPC, he served for two years as the adult choir director at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Sterling. He has also served at International Calvary Church, New York Ave. Presbyterian Church and with the GMU University Singers and the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington.
